Mark Cornelison
Mark Cornelison wanted to go on The Biggest Loser because he was ready to make the life changes necessary to get healthy and hoped to give his "smokin' hot wife a smokin' hot husband!" He says a poor diet and lack of exercise led him to start gaining weight in high school. As a youth pastor of more than 15 years, his weight had reached an all-time high and something had to be done. At 43 years old and 291 pounds, Mark suffered from high blood pressure, high cholesterol and acid reflux. As a youth pastor, Mark enjoys doing volunteer work and going on mission trips, both of which were more challenging due to his weight. He knew it was time to make a life change when he increased dosage on one medication and started another. A married father of three students - a 21 year old son and a teenage son and daughter – Mark started season 13 of the Biggest Loser ready to change. Now 45 years old and
over 100lbs lighter, Mark has gained a new life. He currently has no medical conditions to be monitored and has been removed from all 4 of the medications he was taking merely a year ago. Besides being a role model to his family and the teens he serves as a youth pastor; his greatest joy is now having the
physical and mental ability to do and be anything Christ calls him to be. He now travels speaking about the importance of living a fit and healthy life to its fullest through Jesus. This is encouraged even greater through the 8 week fitness plan which he and his wife created and now take it to churches, schools, and businesses around the country. This experience has deeply changed him and his family…and this is only the beginning. Twitter:
